The ocean covers more than 70% of the Earth's surface. Approximately 97 percent of the water on our planet is in our oceans. Join us in protecting our greatest natural resource.
Nearly eighteen billion pounds of plastic flows from land-based sources to the ocean every year. It is also estimated that approximately 700 million gallons of oil enters the ocean every year.
Both of these issues must be addressed globally and locally, at large and small scales, beginning with the choices each of us makes as consumers.
